William Vollers
Artist Statement
William Vollers finds self expression and gratification exploring several artistic mediums including collage, assemblage, photography and digital imagery. In all of his work there is a consistent sensibility and aesthetic which perhaps can be best defined as abstract minimalism and a appreciation of transience, imperfections and natural deterioration of objects.
Bio
Vollers graduated from Syracuse University School of Art with a BFA. After graduation he was employed in NYC and later CT. as a Art Director/Creative Director before opening Vollers Design, a graphic design studio specializing in corporate advertising and sales promotion. Vollers art direction and graphic design work has received awards from Art Directors’ Clubs in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
For several years Vollers owned and operated an art gallery/antique shop in Chester CT before moving to Mystic CT where he pursues his personal artistic endeavors.
