Sumo Bunni

In Her Own Words

After completing ‘Project 365’ — a rendering a day for one full year in 2023 throughout many books, I have continued to find joy and peace in creating drawings of emotions and thoughts ongoing, at random intervals. They represent reflections of my internal worlds in small personal ways, but also are reflections of globally impactful issues affecting the collective. We all carry our little child with us as we tread through the often confusing, murky waters of adulthood in chaotic, uncertain environments. Having to shift and pivot after many multiple life changes and struggles, illustrating continues to provide a brief centering for my weary, yet endlessly playful spirit.  These eight drawings are about love, loss and a rallying in the pursuit of a new beginning.
